Operating principle
The flow switch is monitor flow / non-flow conditions and to protect equipment and pipeline systems from damage by reduction or loss of flow. The flow switch utilizes reed switch technology and is responsive to flow, not pressure. It is equipped with a magnet which is displaced by liquid flow to magnetically actuate a hermetically -sealed reed switch isolated within the unit body. A positive spring-return de-actuates the switch when flow decreases. The flow rate set point is determined by the length of the paddle.
