Description

RS-105 and RRS-15 are superb for sealing cables and pipes in penetration by finishing the outside with Remitite Silicone Sealant 105 after protecting the inside with RRS-15 sleeves.
Cable & Pipe Penetration Sealing System is rated in classes A-60 and H-120 and shows excellent fire-resistance, expandability and endothermic performance.

RS-105 and RRS-15 expand up to 20 times its original volume when exposed to temperatures above 180℃. During this expansion process, a porous mass is formed, which has thermal insulation properties. Also, this expansion is not accompanied by the formation of large amounts of fumes. This system is proven as an ultraviolet radiation and ozone interceptor.

 

Silicone Sealant RS-105


Remitite Silicone Sealant RS-105 is a fire and water resistant sealant based on a single component compound. It is an adaptable and flexible product that can be used in many different applications, jointing between building elements and materials, especially in shipping and offshore plants.

Limitations

ㆍCannot be overpainted.

ㆍNot intended for structural glazing.

ㆍDo not allow sealant to come in contact with solvent during cure.

ㆍDo not allow sealant to come in contact with curing polyurethane sealants during cure.

ㆍNot intended for immersion.

ㆍSealant may be applied below freezing temperatures if substrates are completely dry, frost free and clean.

ㆍDo not apply when substrate temperatures are below -20°F or above 130°F.

ㆍNot recommended for absorptive surfaces such as natural stone, particularly limestone or marble where staining may occur test before use.

ㆍBrass or copper may be discolored. Test prior to application.

ㆍDo not apply to surfaces that will be painted as sealant surface will not hold paint

ㆍDo not apply to substrates that bleed oil, plasticizers or solvent.

ㆍDo not apply to damp or wet substrates.

ㆍLower temperature and humidity will extend tack free and cure rates.

ㆍTest sensitive substrates, such as mirror backings, for compatibility before use.
