When Starting Valve is opened by air pressure, highly compressed air enters the cylinder to push piston and revolve crankshaft.

Pressurized air supply is stopped when crank shaft reaches required revolving speed to supply fuel to operate the system.

Spring-controlled Starting Valve is installed on cylinder cover. When Starting Valve is opened by Starting Air Distributor, Starting Air from Starting Air Pipe fills air into Starting Valve Chamber.

Starting Valve is closed by spring. Control Air from Starting Air Distributor fills Chamber Piston on top of Starting Valve Piston. Starting Valve opens and Starting Air moves from Starting Air Pipe to cylinder.

When starting is finished, air is discharged through discharge pipe on Starting Air Distributor in Chamber Piston and Starting Valve is closed. When Starting Valve is opened by air pressure, highly compressed air enters the cylinder to push piston and revolve crank shaft.
