Compliant clamps are fully engineered clamps for attaching to umbilicals/flexible pipes, typically used in riser applications as an anchor device where the riser lies over a mid-water riser arch or as a tether point for tie back situations.

Designed with a compliant PU lining on the interface between the clamp and the umbilical/flexible pipe outer sheath which caters for variations due to pressure 'breathing' effects, creep in the jacket or carcass and the manufacturing tolerances of the umbilical/flexible pipe. Existing designs cover a range of outside diameters varying from 25m to over 500m, with loads ranging from approximately 1 tonne to over 50 tonnes.
