Safe mooring of floating structures can be required in both shallow and deep water. In most cases this will include chains, wire ropes and one or more subsea mooring or spring buoys. Mooring buoys generally consist of buoyancy element(s) mounted on a steel through member which interfaces with the mooring system.
The flotation core of the buoys varies in density and performance to suit each individual project water depth, e.g. polyurethane foam for shallow water to 80m and composite syntactic foam for subsea operations to 500msw (North Sea), 2000msw (Africa/Brazil) and 3000msw (Gulf of Mexico).
Our Modular Subsea Buoys are suitable for mooring a wide variety of structures such as oil tankers, production vessels, semi-submersible drilling rigs or deepwater platforms etc.

Features :
- We design and manufacture a wide range of modular subsea buoys from 1 to over 100te
- The modular design (up to 6), allows the nett buoyancy to be adjusted to precise operational
requirements by simply adding or removing component modules
- Should there be damge, the modular design allows for easy repair rather than renewal, only
in extreme cases of damage is replacement of the affected component module needed
- Each module interlocks via male and female spiggots thus eliminating the risk of modules rotating
