Thin Film Plate Polarizer coatings are applied to window substrates at Brewster’s angle, these coatings separate an incident laser beam into S and P polarization components. 
The extinction ratio (TP/TS) exceeds 500 : 1 (100:1 for UV and IR coatings.) Coatings for high power wavelength use special materials that are able to withstand higher power than standard thin film plate polarizer coatings. 
These all dielectric coatings are sensitive to angle of incidence.
