These switches are purely mechanical: the movement of the limit switch, or of another element in relative motion, moves the lever to produce the subsequent actuation of an electrical circuit (associated with its own automation or alarm/safety system on which the limit switch is installed) contained within the same explosionproof enclosure.

They have a Stainless Steel shaft over a brass bush. The lever may bepositioned along 360°, and it can be operated either clockwise or counterclockwise. The external screws are in Stainless Steel. They can be single or double pole contact elements.
