SmCo is magnet manufactured by using Sm, Co elements as its main components in the ratio of 1:5 or 2:17. Its price tends to be high as it uses a rare earth element Sm (samarium) and Co (cobalt),
one of highly priced strategic resources. It is very stable against external magnetic field and temperature.
Characteristics
Its price tends to be high but it is widely used in high-function industries because of its excellent magnetic and chemical characteristic values.
It can be used in temperatures up to 250-350℃ and does not require surface treatment as it does not corrode.
It is used for motor, sensor and high-price machineries and equipment with a long lifespan.
In terms of its precision degree and shape processing control, they are relatively easier than that of sintered NdFeB magnet.
