Type CPD cartridge seals are recommended for hazardous or abrasive applications in which double or tandem seal protection and performance are essential, but only limited installation space is available.  Wherever stuffing box space limitations are problems, recommended for a wide variety of services in industries where ANSI pumps are used.  May also be used in some API applications with user’s consent.
