The MGM1500 is a navigation system that combines GPS and accelerometer data to provide automobile position, speed, azimuth, and acceleration measurements. The MGM1500 provides reliable and precise information using the STA8058 single chipset from ST Microelectronics, which features a 16-channel GPS receiver. The MGM1500 is offered in a small single board making it easy to integrate with Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) and/or automobile navigation systems. The internal accelerometer can sense collisions and rear-end collisions within ±4g range, and can output this information at 100Hz.
This product can provide accident location and impact information (from accelerometers), making it suitable for automobile black boxes and tachographs.
