Gas separating principle of membrane

When the gas mixture contacts the surface of the membrane, all ingredients of gas will be melted and diffused into the membrane. Required gas can be provided after separating gases using the difference of permeating speed between gases as the picture below (methane and nitrogen are very slow-permeating gas ingredients).
